Won the Daimler-sponsored Mobility prize at the Blockchain Hackathon 2018 in Stuttgart.
Our team built a prototype for fair revenue sharing in truck platooning using smart contracts. When trucks drive in close formation, they save fuel through improved aerodynamics — but the savings aren't equal (the lead truck still faces full air resistance). Our solution calculated payouts based on position, duration, and vehicle type, settling automatically via blockchain when a truck left the platoon.
The team formed on-site and had never worked together before. After the hackathon, Daimler invited us to discuss potential acquisition as a startup.
